We recommend using a garden hose under low pressure to fill in your pool. If it is necessary to use a water delivery service, it is better to fill the pool with 1 cm (0.4 in.) of water by hose and smooth wrinkles first. It is recommended to use a water service that is able to regulate the flow of water to prevent damage. Ensure you stop at each step as noted in the instruction manual to ensure your pool is level. Fourth step: plug in the filter pump, and it is ready to work. IMPORTANT: this operation must be repeated every time you perform any maintance operation.

Is it possible to partially or totally bury the pool without damaging the pool and/or losing the warranty? Close Me

Bestway Pools are designed to be above ground. To assemble your purchased pool, you must follow the instructions in the owner's manual. Partially or totally burying the pool results in the penalty of loss of the warranty.

What can I use to protect the bottom of my liner? Close Me

We suggest to always position a Bestway floor protector between the ground and the bottom of the liner.

What is a suitable surface for setting up my pool? Close Me

Almost any completely flat, solid and level surface can be used. Do not use sand as leveling material as it is prone to shift under the pool. The ground should be dug out until it is perfectly level. Do not set up on driveways, decks, platforms, gravel or asphalt. The ground should be stable enough to withstand the weight and pressure of the water. Mud, sand, soft/loose ground and tar are not suitable. We recommend not to drag the pool across the ground when moving it, to avoid abrasions and tears in the liner. If the pool has to be set up on a lawn, we recommend removing the grass underneath and around it, as it may wither and die causing unpleasant odors and/or slime. IMPORTANT: Certain types of hard grass can grow through the liner, as can aggressive bushes/plants by the sides or through the pool. If this happens, it cannot be considered a manufacturer problem. Please note that ground cloths, while designed to protect the bottom of the pool, will not stop any underlying vegetation from growing. Therefore, make sure to remove all hardy bushes/plants from the selected location and its surroundings before setting up the pool.

What is the maximum fill height of the pool? Close Me

Fill the pool with water after all assembly steps are completed and until the water reaches the welding line, which corresponds to 90% of the full capacity. Do not overfill as this could cause the pool to collapse. In case of heavy rainfall, we strongly recommend to reduce the water level to keep it at 90% capacity, to avoid overflowing of the water.

What is the recommended size of sand for Bestway Flowclear Sand Filters? Close Me

The recommended size of sand for Bestway Flowclear Sand Filter is from 0.45 mm to 0.85 mm. The most common type is Silica #20, which is available from pool suppliers and many mass merchandisers. Using the incorrect size of sand will cause the system to malfunction and void its warranty.

Why aren't the top rails straight? Close Me

Without water in the pool, it is normal that the top rails are not straight due to the weight of the frame. When water reaches 90% capacity, the pressure of the water will push the top rails out, and the top rails should be straight. See below video for more information.

Why does the pump have to be under the water level? Close Me

The filter pump/sand filter is designed to be positioned on the ground. If the filter pump/sand filter is positioned at (or above) the water level, the motor will work without water. This will cause the filter pump/sand filter to be damaged.

Dismantling

Do I need to disassemble my pool for the winter? Close Me

It is strongly recommended to disassemble the pool for the winter. The above ground pools may collapse under the weight of ice and snow, which would greatly damage the PVC pool walls. We recommend disassembling the pool when temperatures fall below 15ºC / 59ºF.

How do I drain the pool (except Hydrium™ pools)? Close Me

To drain your pool, follow the steps below: 1.Unscrew the cap from the drain valve located on outside wall of the pool. 2. Connect the adaptor to the garden hose. 3. Place the other end of the hose in an area where the water can be safely drained. 4. Screw the hose adapter to open the drain valve. Note: water will start to drain immediately. 5. Disconnect hose and adapter when finished. 6. Replace drain cap on the outside of the pool. Be sure the pool liner is completely dry before storing for a long period of time.

How should I clean and store my Bestway pool? Close Me

The pool must be thoroughly cleaned with a mild soap and water solution and carefully rinsed to completely remove soap suds and dirty residue. Make sure the pool is completely dry before storing it. Fold the pool liner only if the environment temperature is above 15ºC / 59ºF. Store the pool in a dry place with a moderate temperature between 15ºC / 59ºF and 38ºC / 100ºF and position the pool liner and all accessories inside a carton box, to better protect the PVC material during the winter period.

The drain valve is too high to drain the pool completely. How can I get out the rest of the water? Close Me

We suggest to completely remove the frame and discharge the rest of water or the customer can buy a drain pump to complete this operation.

Yes, you can. But we suggest to not use the pump when it is thundering or lightning.

How does the sand filter work? Close Me

The water from the pool flows through the strainer, up through the control valve, down through the sand, up through the collector hub in the center and out through the control valve back to the pool. Dirt and debris from the pool water are trapped in the sand and clean water is returned into the pool.

How does the timer on the Sand Filter work? Close Me

The timer on the sand filter has 9 different positions. Each position has different cycle. You can leave the sand filter connected to the power source, and the sand filter will operate automatically following the cycle you set: Position 0: Off position (only available from 2024, without on/off switch) Position 4: working time 4 hours / waiting time 20 hours (cancelled from 2024, replaced by position 0) Position 6: Working time 6 hours / waiting time 18 hours Position 8: Working time 8 hours / waiting time 16 hours Position 10: Working time 10 hours / waiting time 14 hours Position 12: Working time 12 hours / waiting time 12 hours Position 24: Working time 24 hours the below three positions are the automatic cycle, and it means that if you set one of these positions, the sand filter will continuously operate following the cycle. There is no set time limit for the pools to last. Following the instructions in the owner’s manual and with proper care, maintenance and storage, you can considerably increase the life of your pool. Improper set-up, storage and usage can instead reduce it drastically.

How much weight does a ladder support? Close Me

Bestway has two weight standards for the ladders: 150 kg (330 lbs) and 305 kg (672 lbs), depending on the safety standards of the country. Bestway ladders are in compliance with all international and national safety standards.

Is it possible to use a timer with my filter pump? Close Me

IMPORTANT: the timer cannot be used if the filter pump is equipped with an external RCD or GFCI. The timer will compromize the functionality of the products. If the filter pump doesn't have an external PRCD or GFCI, you can use the timer. If you installed the filter pump together with a chlorinator or a pool heater, be sure the chlorinator has already finished the set cycle or switch off the pool heater before the filter pump.

Is it possible to use a timer with my sand filter? Close Me

The timer cannot be used if the sand filter is equipped with an external RCD or GFCI. The timer will compromize the functionality of the products. No. Under no circumstances should you jump or dive into the pool. Bestway does not sell any pools that are deep enough for such activities, and failure to abide by this rule may likely result in serious injury, paralysis or death.

Is the Skimatic filter pump suitable for all Bestway pools? Close Me

The Bestway Flowclear Skimatic filter pump is suitable with all dimensions of frames of Bestway pools and with the inflatable ring of the Fast Set pool, thanks to the two sets of hooks included in the product set. IMPORTANT: the only structure in the Bestway pool range that is not compatible with the Skimatic Filter Pump is the steel wall Pool. IMPORTANT: when you buy this product, be sure that the flow rate of the Skimatic filter pump is compatible with the water quantity in your pool.

Yes. This is absolutely normal because the ladder must be flexible enough to adapt to the weight pressure of the person mounting it.

What are the functions performed by the sand filter? Close Me

Bestway Flowclear sand filters have 6 functions: 1. Filter: This function is used to filter pool water and should be positioned here 99% of the time. Water is pumped through the sand filter, where it is cleaned and returned to the pool. 2. Backwash: This function is used to clean the sand bed. Water is pumped down through the collector hub, upwards through the sand bed, and deposited out of Port D. 3. Rinse: This function is for initial startup, cleaning, and sand bed leveling after backwash. Water is pumped downwards through the sand bed, up through the collector hub and deposited out of Port D. 4. Drain: This function drains water from the pool. Another filter bypass setting, water is pumped and deposited out of Port D, instead of returning to the pool. 5. Circulate: This function circulates pool water bypassing the sand filter. Use this function if the filter is broken to collect debris in the debris screens. 6. Closed: This function stops water flowing between the sand filter and the pool.

The filter cartridge can be cleaned in the dishwasher using temperatures under 30 ℃ and without using any detergent or degreasing. For safety reasons, since the dirty filter cartridge contains bacteria and other harmful substances, any other dish or kitchen item should not be washed together with the dirty cartridge. Be sure to sanitize the dishwasher before starting the normal operations.

Hold the strip level for 15 seconds to avoid reactant dripping from one test pad to another. NOTE: Do not shake off excess water. 3. If it reaches the red level, it means that the sand is full of debris, and the backwash function must be performed for 5 minutes. After that, rinse for 2 minutes. Important: backwash and rinse functions reduce the quantity of water in your pool, so remember to refill the water to have the correct level of water inside the pool.
